Hasbro – Magic: The Gathering

Hasbro wanted to shift perceptions of who could play their trading card game ‘Magic: The Gathering’. A key insight was that for many players, win or lose, enjoyment came from escaping the mundane by taking on and developing a character. Our film focussed on blurring the lines between the real world lives of our protagonists and their Magic personas. We lent into epic and cinematic storytelling, whilst also having a little fun along the way. Filmed on location in Manchester over 3 days.
